
Chloe Francis
Biography
Chloe Francis is an accomplished trumpet player and educator based in the Greater-Boston area. Originally from the Philadelphia-area, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Trumpet Performance and Music Education, with a minor in Music History, from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and studied with Dr. Jean-Christophe Dobrzelewski and Robert Skoniczin. She earned her Master's degree in Brass Performance from Boston University and studied with Terry Everson.
As a performer, Chloe has played in a variety of ensembles and her career has included orchestral, chamber, and recording sessions both locally and internationally. While best known for her lyrical sound and melodic quality on trumpet, Chloe enjoys performing a variety of musical styles and genre. Most recently, she's had the pleasure of working with A Far Cry, Cape Symphony, Symphony New Hampshire, Boston Chamber Symphony, American Repertory Theatre, and Moonbox Productions.
As an instructor, Chloe enjoys working with students of all ages. She focuses on creating a supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and growth, while also encouraging her students to push themselves. She believes that music is a powerful tool that all students should have access to as a way for them to authentically express themselves.
In addition to her private studio, Chloe currently teaches at the All Newton Music School in West Newton, MA, and Wellesley Public Schools.. Previously, Chloe has taught at Greensleeves Music in West Chester, PA and for the Community Music School at West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
